Despite the massive injection of cash into Italian giants AC Milan in the summer, the Rossoneri have had a fairly awful season thus far.
Currently sitting in 11th place in the table, 21 points behind leaders Napoli, the club have certainly not met the lofty ambitions that they set themselves before the start of the season.
New signings such as Andre Silva have failed to make an impact in the league, but one position that hasn’t been a problem is at goalkeeper.
Milan are currently in possession of one of the most talented young shot stoppers in football – Gianluigi Donnarumma – but the 18-year old is reportedly set for a move to French super club PSG.
With that stunning switch looking increasingly likely, Milan have unsurprisingly set their sights on a replacement. Napoli keeper Pepe Reina is the name at the top of their shopping list, according to Italian publication Il Giornale.
Reina is one of the more well-traveled goalkeepers in football, having played in Spain, England, Germany and Italy. The Spaniard is in his third season with Napoli, but at 35-years of age he represents the complete opposite of Donnarumma, as a veteran of the sport.
