The Ivory Coast-born forward Christian Kouame is raising plenty of eyebrows with his impressive displays for Serie A side Genoa of late.
The 20-year-old has made 13 league outings in the 2018/19 campaign thus far and even though he only scored two goals to date, some of Europe’s biggest clubs have taken a firm interest in his services.
Kouame’s agent Michelangelo Minieri reveals there have been plenty of enquiries from ‘big clubs’ while maintaining there is ‘no interest in speculation’.
Christian Kouame’s quality performances for Genoa helped the youngster get out of the shadow of fellow summer arrival Krzysztof Piatek with both AC Milan and Napoli linked with the Ivorian in recent weeks.
I can say that several Serie A clubs wanted him [referring to interest from Milan]. Cittadella always considered him an important player and demanded so much for him. Now he is at Genoa, a club who are always very good at enhancing players like him. I’ve always seen Genoa as a model club”, Michelangelo Minieri told the Italian media.
